Hours Per Week: 40-hour week

Location: Pulmonary Health Center

Hiring Range: Starting at $25.50 hourly 

The actual compensation for this position will be determined based on experience and other factors permitted by law.

Responsibilities:

  • Reviews schedule and prepares charts for the next day’s appointments. 
  • Rooms patients to include taking/recording of vital signs, height and weight, reviews medications and documents any known allergies. 
  •  Prepares and administers injections and lab draws. Performs phlebotomy. Applies dressing and bandages. 
  • Delivers individualized patient care consistent with established standards of care, policies and procedures, and other regulatory standards. 
  • Assists with procedures under the direction of provider. 
  • Completes all patient call backs (same day, provider, etc..) prior to the end of the workday and complete daily, weekly, monthly assignment check sheets as assigned. 
  • Maintains complete, accurate, concise documentation of patient status in the office and via telephone (including date time and signature), nursing interventions and patient responses and outcomes. 
  • Follows instructions accurately, organizes multiple tasks, and establishes day to day priorities. 
  • Regularly checks necessary supplies, instruments, and equipment. Orders supplies to ensure appropriate stocking levels are maintained 

Education, Training & Experience:

  • Graduate of a nursing education program registered by NYSED as license qualifying for LPN.
  • Minimum one (1) year experience in a physician practice setting preferred.

Required Credential(s):

  • Practical/Vocational Nurse credentialed from New York State obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. 
  • BLS Provider obtained within three (3) Months (90 days) of hire date or job transfer date
