Overview:
St. Mary’s Healthcare is actively seeking a fellowship-trained Breast Surgeon to join our multidisciplinary surgical team. This is a unique opportunity to add to our comprehensive, community-based breast care services while delivering high-quality, patient-centered care. You will work closely with radiology, oncology, primary care, and women’s health providers to create a seamless continuum of care - from screening and diagnosis through treatment and survivorship.

- Leadership Opportunities
Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive surgical care for patients with benign and malignant breast disease
- Perform breast-conserving surgeries, mastectomies, sentinel lymph node biopsies, and other breast procedures
- Collaborate with radiology, medical oncology and other specialists to develop individualized treatment plans
- Participate in tumor board and multidisciplinary case discussions
- Support development of breast imaging, navigation, and survivorship services
- Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatment options, and post-operative care
- Contribute to program development, quality improvement initiatives, and clinical protocols
- Maintain accurate documentation and compliance with regulatory standards
Qualifications:
Required Credentials
- Board Certified / Board Eligible in General Surgery.
- Successful completion of a Breast Surgery Fellowship.
- Licensed (or eligible for licensure) in the State of New York.
- Demonstrated clinical expertise in breast oncology
Preferred Experience:
- Prior experience in program leadership or medical director role.
Education:
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) from an accredited institution
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of and commitment to quality patient safety & evidence based practice
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work independently and in a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment
Compensation & Benefits:
- Base Salary - $425K with multiple bonus opportunities.

Complexity of Work:
This role requires advanced surgical expertise, clinical judgment, and the ability to manage a wide spectrum of breast conditions. As a program-building position, the surgeon must also demonstrate leadership, collaboration, and the ability to develop and implement high-quality, patient-centered breast care services.
Personal Protective Equipment:
Adherence to Standard Precautions and utilization of appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) are mandatory to ensure the safety of both patients and staff.
