Hours Per Week: 40-hour/week
Hiring Range: $55,723.20 - $69,742.40
The actual compensation for this position will be determined based on experience and other factors permitted by law.
Job Responsibilities:
- Provide immediate de-escalation, emotional support, and trauma informed brief therapeutic interventions.
- Perform comprehensive crisis assessments, including risk of harm to self or others.
- Develop and implement short term safety and crisis stabilization plans
- Collaborate with caregivers, schools, child welfare, and other involved systems.
- Provide psychoeducation to children and families regarding coping skills, crisis management, and available resources.
- Facilitate referrals to outpatient, inpatient, or community-based services as needed
- Maintain accurate, timely, clinical documentation in accordance with agency and regulatory standards
- Adhere to ethical standards, confidentiality requirements, and trauma informed principles
Education, Training, & Experience:
- Master's degree in social work, mental health counseling or related field required twelve (12) months from the date of hire or transfer
Certifications/Licensure:
- Preferred Credential(s):
- One or more of the following:
- Counselor credentialed from the New York Board of Mental Health Practitioners obtained within 18 Months (1 1/2 year) of hire date or job transfer date.
- Psychologist credentialed from the New York Board of Psychology obtained within 18 Months (1 1/2 year) of hire date or job transfer date.
- Social Worker credentialed from the New York Board of Social Work obtained within 18 Months (1 1/2 year) of hire date or job transfer date.
- Valid NYS driver's license.
- One or more of the following:
