Job Requisition:
Employment Type: Per Diem
Shift: Rotating
Hours Per Week: As scheduled
Hiring Range: $33.60-$44.94
The actual compensation for this position will be determined based on experience and other factors permitted by law.
Responsibilities:
• Prepares and positions patients and selects anatomic and technical parameters accurately.
• Prepares and administers contrast media and/or medications within the accepted scope of practice and applicable state and federal regulations.
• Observes patient during procedure and reports abnormal activity. Monitors protocols and recommends updates or refinements as warranted.
• Follows radiation safety procedures and guidelines.
Complexity of Work:
• Within scope of job, requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment.
Personal Protective Equipment: •
Follows Standard Precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
Minimum Qualifications Licensure / Certification / Registration:
• High school diploma/GED with 2 years of experience
• Required Credential(s):
• BLS Provider obtained within 3 Months (90 days) of hire date or job transfer date.
• Radiologic Technologist credentialed from the New York Department of Health obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date. • Starting January 1, 2018, Registered by ARRT as both R.T. (R) (CT). The technologist has 6 months to obtain the (CT) credential. During this time, they must be working with a technologist registered as an RT (R) (CT). A technologist may not start training as a CT technologist until the RT (R) has been achieved. Must be able to speak, read, write and follow instructions in English.
