Staff Nurse (RN) - Emergency Department
Job Purpose: The Emergency Care Center Staff Nurse (RN) is a professional care provider who assumes responsibility and accountability for a group of patients for a designated timeframe in order to provide care to those patients via therapeutic use of self, the nursing process, the environment/instrumentation, and coordination with other health care team members, taking into account the individual patient's special physical or age-related needs.
Education: Possess an Associate's degree form an accredited school of Nursing.
Licensure/Certification/Registration: Possess current NYS license for Registered Professional Nurse; American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification to be obtained within six (6) months of hire or transfer.
Preferred: Possess a CEN certificate; trauma course certificate. American Heart Association Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
Experience: Possess a minimum of one (1) year experience medical/surgical experience as a Registered Nurse.
Preferred: Possess Critical Care experience.
Full-time Sign-On-Bonus: $10,000
Full-time Sign-On-Bonus with 3+ years of experience: $15,000
