Description
Job Purpose: The Endoscopy Assistant performs a variety of duties as a member of the surgical services team during the patient's procedure, taking into account the individual patient's special physical and/or age-related needs. Assists with the preparation of endoscopy patients, creates/maintains sterile field, issues instruments/equipment to surgeons/assistants.
Education: Possess a High School diploma or equivalent.
Licensure/Certification/Registration: American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) within six (6) months of hire or transfer.
Experience: None required.
Preferred: Medical Assistant and Phlebotomy experience. Experience in Endoscopy or Surgical Services.
