Central Supply Supervisor

Job Purpose:  To supervise and direct personnel engaged in the processing, stocking and dispensing sterile and non-sterile reusable supplies and equipment.  Establishes methods and standards for cleaning, wrapping sterilizing and dispensing these items.  Ensures staff compliance with sterilization techniques, policies and procedures.   

Education:  Possess a High School diploma or equivalent.  Two (2) years of schooling in a specialty or an Associates' degree or equivalent in the medical field.  

Licensure/Certification/Registration:  Current Registered Central Supply Technician Certification required. 

Experience:  Possess three (3) years of relevant experience in a clinical setting with proven knowledge of Central Supply techniques and a familiarity with instruments and infection control procedures.
