LPN II - PCC Float Pool

Base Pay: $25.01-$29.55 / hour

Job Purpose: The Licensed Practical Nurse Il is a care provider who assumes responsibility and accountability for his/her patients within the limits of his/her education and the Nurse Practice Act taking into account the individual patient's special physical or age- related needs. The limits of the Licensed Practical Nurse's responsibility are defined by hospital policy in keeping with the New York State Code, Rules, and Regulations, and the NYS Education Department.
Education: High school diploma or equivalent; graduation from an accredited Licensed Practical Nurse program or completion or required components to satisfy LPN licensing examination. Employee is trained and prepared to care for the age-specific
group served on their assigned unit.
Licensure/Certification/Registration: Possess current NYS license for Licensed Practical Nurse; American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within the first 6 months of hire. Completion of IV course, phlebotomy, blood administration course, and EKG training within 6 months of hire.
Experience: One or more years of experience in an acute care hospital or previous experience in an acute healthcare setting
preferred.

Full-Time Sign-on-Bonus: $5,000.
