Description
Job Purpose: The Ward Clerk performs defined clerical and receptionist functions on a nursing unit in order to provide an organized and efficient
atmosphere in which to deliver patient care.
Education Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. Employee is trained and prepared to provide non-direct care for the age-specific group on their assigned unit.
Preferred: Possess a medical terminology course. Computer knowledge of Meditech system (order management/POM).
Experience: Possess previous experience in a healthcare setting.
Preferred: Previous experience as a Ward Clerk or Medical Office Coordinator or equivalent.
