Assistant Director of Employment Opportunities
The Arc Lexington is an organization dedicated to empowering people with developmental and intellectual disabilities to live their best lives, every day. We are currently looking for an Assistant Director of Employment Opportunities to join our Employment Resources Department. As the Assistant Director, you'll help support people in finding meaningful jobs and growing our program by building relationships with local businesses and community members.
Qualifications
- A valid NYS driver's license and use of your vehicle is required.
- A Bachelor's Degree in a Human Services field is preferred.
- 4 years of experience leading programs for people with disabilities is required.
- Experience in Vocational Rehabilitation, job development, contract management, and program development is desired.
- A good communicator.
- Creativity and the ability to make things happen.
- Leadership skills to help the people we support to lead fulfilling lives.
Responsibilities
- Set goals to create a nurturing environment, creative jobs, and meet financial targets.
- Lead your team to develop opportunities and help people learn and use job skills.
- Build relationships with employers and teach them the value of supporting diverse employees.
- Creatively connect support programs and community-based employment.
- Coordinate various employment options for people in our community.
- Create and support your team's development goals.
- Monitor contract goals and manage both performance and finances.
- Recruit, hire, and train staff who value diverse work options
