Safety and Wellness Coordinator

Posted: 04/23/2026

Help protect people. Strengthen culture. Make work safer-every single day.

At The Arc Lexington, safety isn't just about compliance-it's about people. It's about making sure every employee goes home safe, feels supported, and knows someone is looking out for them.

We're looking for a Safety & Wellness Coordinator who takes that responsibility seriously and wants to make a visible, meaningful impact. This is not a behind-the-scenes role. You'll be out in the organization, working alongside employees and leaders to solve problems, reduce risk, and strengthen a culture where safety and wellness are part of everyday work.

In this role, you'll lead efforts that bring together workplace safety, injury prevention, and employee wellness. You'll manage workers' compensation claims and injury reporting, ensure OSHA compliance, and support employees through return-to-work processes. At the same time, you'll coordinate wellness initiatives that support physical, mental, and emotional well-being-helping employees stay healthy, engaged, and supported.

You'll also use data to tell a story. By tracking injury trends, claims, and participation, you'll help identify what's working, where risks exist, and where improvements can be made. You'll partner closely with leaders across the organization to turn those insights into action-reducing injuries, strengthening accountability, and improving the overall employee experience.

This role matters because the impact is real. Every improvement you make contributes to a safer workplace and a stronger organization.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health, Public Health, Safety, HR, Human Services, or related field or equivalent certification (RN, LPN, PT, Safety Professional, Health Coach, etc.)
  • Five+ years of experience in safety, wellness, HR, or workers' compensation
  • Knowledge of OSHA regulations and reporting (including 300, 300A, 301 logs)
  • Strong communication, organization, and data analysis skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently
  • Comfortable presenting and working with employees at all levels
  • Valid driver's license required

At The Arc Lexington, we invest in our employees because they are at the center of everything we do. We offer competitive pay, generous paid time off, comprehensive benefits, and ongoing opportunities for growth and development. Our employees consistently recognize us as a Top Workplace and a place where their work has meaning.

If you're looking for a role where you can make a real difference-where your work helps protect people and strengthen the workplace every day-we encourage you to apply.
