FLSA: Non-Exempt

REPORTS TO: Organizational Development Manager

HOURS: Full time, 40 hours, day/evening per week. Weekends and Overtime as needed.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Standing, sitting, reaching, bending, squatting, kneeling, climbing, lifting up to 50 lbs, push and pull heavy loads. Physical ability to teach Strategies for Crisis Intervention and Prevention - Revised (SCIP-R) techniques.

Pay Range: The pay range is $20.14 to $28.06

 

Job Qualifications:

  1. High School Diploma/GED
  2. One year of Direct Care experience in a human services field required.
  3. Supervisory experience in a human services field preferred.
  4. Prior presentation, mentoring, or teaching experience required.
  5. Current Red Cross 1st Aid and CPR Instructor and OPWDD SCIP-R instructor certification preferred. Must obtain 1st Aid/CPR certification within (3) months of hire and must obtain SCIP-R Instructor certification within (1) year of hire.
  6. Must be able to read and write English language.
  7. Must have Driver's License that meets Agency standards.
 

Major Responsibilities:

  1. Schedule, train, document and coach employees on an ongoing basis.
  2. Creates a positive learning environment.
  3. Proactively shares information and resources with others.
  4. Assist in accurate and timely record keeping. Report non-attendance.
  5. Assist in curriculum assessment, updates and implementation of new trainings.
  6. Identifies obstacles or unanticipated problems that might interfere with objectives being met and acts to address them in a timely manner.
  7. Looks for opportunities to exceed existing expectations and acts on them to make continuous improvements for personal and/or Agency performance.
  8. Participates actively and openly as a member of the team.
  9. Keeps current with Agency and department goals and works toward them on a regular basis.
  10. Performs other duties as required.
