Distinguishing Features of the Class: This is a professional nursing position located in various County departments and involves responsibility for coordinating individual patient care and for performing nursing services requiring substantial specialized judgment and skills. The work is performed under the general supervision of a supervisory level nursing position and in accordance with a prescribed nursing care plan. Supervision may be exercised over the work of subordinate nursing personnel The incumbent does related work as required.
Residency Requirement: Applicants must be a legal resident of Montgomery County or a Contiguous County.

Minimum Qualifications:
Graduation from a school of nursing approved by the State Education Department from a course approved by such department as qualifying for Registered Professional Nurse.
Special Requirements for Acceptance of Applications:
Possession of a license issued by the State of New York to practice as a Registered Professional Nurse and possession of New York State driver’s license at time of appointment and must be maintained throughout the course of employment.
