Distinguishing Features of the Class: This position involves responsibility for representing the People of the State of New York in criminal prosecution of offenses. This includes all phases of case preparation and representation of matters related to felony crimes. Work is performed in close conjunction with and under the supervision of higher level legal staff. The incumbent will perform all related duties required. Supervision is not a requirement for this position.
Residency Requirement: Applicants must be a legal resident of New York State.

Minimum Qualification:
Admission to the Bar in New York State. Applicants must provide verification of their Admission to the Bar in New York State and provide a current Certificate of Good Standing from the New York State Supreme Court, Appellate Division. An employee is required to maintain the certificate of good standing for the duration of his or her career. Minimum of three (3) years of experience in a District Attorney’s Office prosecuting felony level crimes.
Possession of a valid NYS driver’s license is required at the time of appointment and maintained during employment.
