Reports To: Assistant Director of Employment Services

Physical Requirements: Normal Office Environment

Hours of Work: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week, Office Environment Days, Flexible schedule needed

Pay Range: $24.00-$32.10

 

Job Summary:

The Coordinator of Employment Services is responsible for the direct oversight of day to day operations of the Employment Services department at Liberty ARC. The Coordinator of Employment Services will contribute to development and implementation of agreed upon strategies with the goal of: increasing employment outcomes for people served while expanding and maximizing the funded programs.

 

Job Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred. High School diploma/GED required.
  • Minimum of four years working with individuals with disabilities and/or related human services program required. Vocational Rehabilitation experience preferred
  • Minimum one-year supervisory experience Candidate must have strong communication, typing, computer, telephone and organizational skills.
  • Marketing experience preferred
  • Must be able to read, write and speak the English language
  • Must have valid NYS Driver's License
  • Travel is required; employee must have reliable transportation available, as Coordinator of Employment Services, you will travel to various program, business and community partner locations.

 

Major Responsibilities:

  1. Responsible for the direct oversight of the day to day operations and initiatives of the Career & Employment Network. Promote the values of the employment services to businesses throughout Montgomery County by meeting with decision makers to seek work opportunities for the individuals we support.
  2. Contribute to the development and implementation of agreed upon strategies with the goal of increasing employment outcomes for people services while expanding and maximizing the funded programs.
  3. Duties of this job will also include but are not limited to the management, discipline, hiring and termination of employees at the Career and Employment Network. Monitor and maintain programs within identified budgets. Contribute to budget development and monitoring addressing necessary program resources
  4. Participate and contribute to the development of educational/vocational programs offered to people we support, prospects, administrative staff and the community.
  5. Provide Person-Centered individual support appropriate with the individual's personal outcome and goals.
  6. Responsible for the compliance of and the day to day execution of services and monitoring/review of billings for various funding sources included but not limited to OPWDD (Office for People with Developmental Disabilities), ACCES-VR (Adult Career & Continuing Education Services - Vocational Rehabilitation), OMH (Office of Mental Health), State Aid, School programs and other grant funded programs.
  7. Maintain professional internal and external relationships with businesses and other providers which uphold the agencies core values
  8. Perform direct service delivery duties when necessary
  1. Ensure timely, accurate and compliant development of support plans Complete all department specific billing reviews, preparation and submission (to various funding sources, the business office and department administration)
  2. Other duties as assigned
