Position Summary:
The YMCA is seeking a positive, energetic Youth Karate Instructor to lead beginner and intermediate classes for children. This role focuses on teaching foundational karate skills while promoting the YMCA’s core values of caring, honesty, respect, and responsibility in a safe and inclusive environment.
Responsibilities:

Lead structured karate classes for youth and or adults

Teach basic techniques and introductory sparring skills

Foster discipline, confidence, teamwork, and sportsmanship

Maintain a safe class environment and enforce YMCA policies
Qualifications:

Background or training in karate or a related martial arts

Experience working with youth preferred

CPR/AED and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)

Ability to pass required background screening

Strong leadership, communication, and classroom management skills
