Parts & Receiving Specialist- Full Time

The Parts & Receiving Specialist receives and offloads new product, maintains accurate inventory, and ensures well-organized and tidy stock rooms.

Pay: $16-$18/hour

Schedule: Monday- Friday with a day off during the week. Saturdays are required

Job Duties:

  • Receive, offload, and store routine product inventory as it arrives; receive and deliver special-order parts to the Service department
  • Operate forklift to transfer product to the retail floor according to daily inventory needs
  • Regularly update computer system upon receipt of goods; resolve order and receipt discrepancies and alert management of unresolved issues
  • Maintain accurate inventory records by performing daily product counts
  • Coordinate and maintain proper communication with the Service department regarding the estimated date of receipt of special-order parts
  • Pack and ship parts as requested
  • Maintain the safety, cleanliness and organization of stock rooms; communicate safety concerns to management
  • Continually gain knowledge of inventory to efficiently assist coworkers with questions

Qualifications :

  • High school diploma
  • Able to obtain certification for forklift operation
  • Previous Receiving experience helpful
  • Previous experience with automated inventory system helpful

  • Moderate computer skills to perform data entry
  • Ability to follow safety instructions and promote a safe working environment
  • Detail oriented and well organized
  • Ability to work in a collaborative team, in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience in following verbal and written guidelines to perform job functions

 

Physical and Environmental Conditions:

  • Talking and hearing, walking and sitting, repetitive hand motion, using hands to grasp, pushing, pulling, climbing, crouching, kneeling, and reaching with arms/hands, are required.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds frequently, to move objects.
  • Occasional exposure to adverse environmental conditions, such as fumes, dust, and mechanical moving parts.
