What You’ll Do:
As a Licensed Practical Nurse, you’ll play a crucial role in providing high-quality care to our patients. Your responsibilities will include:
  • Patient Support: Address patient and family concerns, working closely with providers and staff to ensure comprehensive care.
  • Sterilization & Preparation: Ensure proper sterilization procedures for instruments and prepare exam rooms, maintaining a clean and organized environment.
  • Medication & Treatment Administration: Administer medications, immunizations, and treatments according to protocols and scope of practice. Perform diagnostic procedures and treatments as ordered by the provider.
  • Patient Preparation: Review patient schedules and ensure necessary labs, test results, or screenings are prepared before appointments.
  • Lab Specimen Handling: Procure and process lab specimens, including performing EKGs as needed.
  • Inventory Management: Perform inspections of emergency supplies and ensure that necessary equipment, such as oxygen tanks and suction machines, is in working order.
  • Quality Improvement: Participate in quality improvement initiatives and assist with other duties as assigned.

What You’ll Need:
  • NYS LPN License: Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program with current, unrestricted licensure in New York State.
  • BLS Certification: Must have up-to-date Basic Life Support certification.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency with computers and familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR).
  • Medication & Immunization Skills: Experience in administering medications and immunizations as part of your nursing scope of practice.
  • Multicultural Competency: Ability to work in a fast-paced, multicultural environment and interact with a diverse patient population.
  • Experience: Previous LPN experience preferred.
  • Bilingual Skills: English/Spanish bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply.
