MHS (Maintenance/Housekeeping/Security) Associate – Full-Time
Join our team at Hometown Health Centers!
We are seeking a reliable and dedicated MHS Associate to support our Operations Department. This full-time role is essential to ensuring our facilities are safe, clean, and well-maintained for our patients, visitors, and staff.
The MHS Associate performs a combination of maintenance, housekeeping, and security tasks to ensure a safe and clean environment across our facilities.
- Sweep, scrub, and mop floors and stairwells as needed
- Change waste containers and restock paper supplies (paper towels, toilet paper, etc.)
- Vacuum carpets, stairs, and runners
- Clean waiting area chairs
- Clean and disinfect bathrooms, exam sinks, elevators, and other high-touch areas
- Perform basic maintenance and facility security tasks
- Assist with other duties as assigned by the MHS Manager
- High School diploma or GED
- Problem-solving and planning skills
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
- Valid and acceptable NYS driver’s license with at least 3 years of driving experience
- Availability for shift work, including afternoons
- Maintain regular and reliable attendance
- Report attendance issues to supervisor in accordance with policy
- Arrive on time and ready to begin work at scheduled start times
- Adhere to break and departure time policies
Language: Able to read and understand simple instructions and memos; able to write simple correspondence; able to communicate effectively with patients, visitors, and staff.
Math: Basic math skills (add, subtract, multiply) for simple calculations.
Reasoning: Ability to handle practical problems and follow instructions in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
- Regular standing, walking, stooping, kneeling, and crouching
- Frequent reaching, handling, and communication
- Ability to lift/move up to 15 lbs, and occasionally up to 50 lbs
- Ability to use close and peripheral vision and adjust focus
- Reports to: MHS Manager
- Works closely with: MHS Staff
