Administrative Secretary Human Resources
FLSA: Non-Exempt
Reports To: Director of Human Resources
Physical Requirements: Normal Office Environment
Hours of Work: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week
Pay Range: $16.40-$22.92
Job Summary: The Human Resources Assistant is responsible to provide administrative support to the Human Resources Department.
Job Qualifications:
- Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent. AAS Degree is preferred.
- Minimum of 2-year experience in a clerical position.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products required.
- NYS drivers license that meets agency standards and reliable transportation.
- Must be able to read, write and speak the English language.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the timely and accurate data entry of employee profiles.
- Maintain up-to-date and accurate employee records, in both electronic and paper format, including but not limited to: medical, employee personnel files, salary history, etc...
- Maintain monthly Performance Evaluation system to include timely distribution of evaluations due and evaluations past due notices.
- Create and distribute agency ID cards to all employees.
- Maintain driver abstract lists.
- Assist with tracking of employee safety assessments.
- Assist with coordination of agency employee recognition activities and events.
- Perform all clerical functions as required and requested.
- Act as backup receptionist as needed.
