Artist's Statement for Earth and Echo - Journeys Inward
In this echibit, I explore the growing relationship between my memories and worldly exposure, where ego and recollection coexist under the watchful eye of nature. Works inspired by my deep affection for the Adirondacks and Mohawk Valley frequently utilize salvaged materials. This practice acts as a protest against wastefulness and stands as a testament to the passage of time. The subjects are often dark, allowing illumination to chase the shadows. Photography and mixed media coalesce in this exhibit, which is built from a conceptual machine with years of experience, aspiration, and transformation, allowing verity to color the landscape and direct my spiritual growth as an artist.
