SUMMARY:Opening Reception for Janene Bouck at the Caroga Museum
DESCRIPTION:Earth and Echo - Journeys Inward\n\nArt and Photography by Janene Bouck\n\nJune 27: 7 pm- 9 pm Museum Opening Reception\n\n\n	Janene Bouck - Fine art & photography\n	Welcome reception with refreshments\n	Exhibits run from June 27th through July 28th\n\n\nArtist's Statement for Earth and Echo - Journeys Inward\n\nIn this echibit\, I explore the growing relationship between my memories and worldly exposure\, where ego and recollection coexist under the watchful eye of nature. Works inspired by my deep affection for the Adirondacks and Mohawk Valley frequently utilize salvaged materials. This practice acts as a protest against wastefulness and stands as a testament to the passage of time. The subjects are often dark\, allowing illumination to chase the shadows. Photography and mixed media coalesce in this exhibit\, which is built from a conceptual machine with years of experience\, aspiration\, and transformation\, allowing verity to color the landscape and direct my spiritual growth as an artist.\n\nBiography:\n\nMost of Janene Bouck's subjects and reclaimed materials originate from her home\, the Great Sacandaga Lake area\, her playground\, the Adirondack Park\, and her childhood home\, the Mohawk Valley region of Upstate New York. In addition to creating art and fine-art photography\, Janene provides commercial photography\, graphic arts\, and digitally restored photography at her home studio in Broadalbin\, New York.\n\nJanene's education included drafting\, design\, and graphic arts training. Her work has won multiple awards\, including Best-in-Show at the "2018 Winter Arts Show" at the Paul Nigra Center for the Creative Arts\, the Juror's Choice award at "The Art of New York" Annual Juried Show at the Arkell Museum & Canajoharie Library Stone Wall and honorable mention for the Mary Cleland Art Award at the "2016 Statewide Summer Art Show." Ms. Bouck can be contacted through her website\, silentjanesalvage.com.
