RN Unit Manager

River Ridge Rehabilitation & Nursing Center is a subacute rehab and long-term care provider. We are highly regarded in our community, Amsterdam, New York, for our longstanding reputation and for providing quality patient care over the decades.
We are recruiting an experienced RN Unit Manager to oversee all aspects of operating a 40-bed unit within our LTC facility. The Unit Manager is a member of the nurse management team. This position shares responsibility for adequate coverage, including rotational weekends, as needed. The manager will participate in Department Meetings and procedure development. The manager assures regulatory compliance in the Unit and reports to the Director of Nursing.
Job Summary:
·         Supervise nursing staff to monitor care
·         Assist with treatment and medication administration.
·         Participate in family meetings and the discharge planning process.
·         Serve as liaison between family, patient, doctor, and other departments.
·         Investigate incident reports and follow up accordingly.
·         Participate in managing staff and assignments to ensure the quality of care.
Participate on patient conditions in weekly risk meetings.
·         Handle annual evaluations of staff.
 
Requirements:
·         Valid R.N. license for New York State
·         Two years of experience in Long Term Care (Preferred)
·         Two years of supervisory management experience
·         Basic Life Support Certification
