Accountant Payee Specialist

The Arc Lexington is looking for an Accountant Payee Specialist

The Accountant Payee Specialist is responsible for managing and monitoring financial accounts and transactions for the people we support who are receiving services, ensuring compliance with OPWDD, Social Security, and other governing regulations. The role involves auditing residential houses and petty cash accounts and responding to inquiries from staff and the community. Additionally, the Accountant Payee Specialist oversees SSI and Medicaid resource thresholds, facilitates spend-down arrangements, and advocates for policy updates as needed.

Qualifications:

An Associate's Degree in Accounting or a related field. Strong attention to detail, the ability to work independently, and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, and Excel) are essential. Willing to train the right candidate!
