Community Swim Program at Johnstown High School
Community Swim Program: Program Starts: Saturday, December 7 Place: Johnstown High School (1 Sir Bill Circle, Johnstown, NY 12095) Days: Saturday Time: 9:00 ? 11:00 A.M. ? Use the back entrance of JHS by the pool/bus loop and sign in with a school attendant ? The program will not run when school is not in session or if campus is closed due to inclement weather ? Swim program will not operate on the following Saturdays: 12/28, 2/15, and 2/22 ? Children 12 and under must be accompanied by an adult. Toddlers and younger must wear swimming diapers in the pool. You are allowed to bring in your own swimming aides (swimmies and other devices that are intended to help you stay afloat and swim). Pool floats are prohibited. Stained Glass Workshop with Doug Hallberg, Instructor at Paul Nigra Center
Join stained glass artisan Doug Hallberg for this 5-hour intensive mega-workshop on the craft of working with stained glass! Each student will learn about the process of this timeless art form and make two stained glass feathers to take home. This workshop is for students ages 16 and older of any experience level. A lunch break will be provided - you can bring your own lunch or plan to visit one of our local restaurants. A dvanced students are welcome to make a 12'' clear glass window hanging with bevels. Instructor Doug Hallberg is a retired NYS public school art educator (1996-2012) with an MFA from Rochester Institute of Technology. In 2012, he was awarded a New York State Enterprise grant to open Carriage House Art Studio in Oneonta, NY (2012-2018) to provide a variety of community classes, including some geared toward artists with special needs. His areas of expertise include stained glass, ceramics, sculpture and drawing. *Members receive a 20% discount. Don't forget to enter the promotional code in the registration window! Please be aware that no refunds or exchanges will be issued for classes or events unless they are canceled by the Nigra Arts Center.

SVAN Presents: Big Fez and the Surfmatics Dance Night at Sport Island Pub
?Dreaming of Sunshine? Beach Party at the Sport Island Pub. This event will feature the band ?Big Fez and the Surfmatics.? Big Fez was such a big hit during the Summer Concert Series that we just had to bring them back to Northville for an evening of listening, singing, and dancing. If you come dressed for a beach party, there will be prizes. The party begins at 6:30. Doors will open at 5:45. General admission is $25. Members? admission is $20. Admission includes snacks.
