The 518 Concert Series Presents: Skeeter Creek at The Glove Theatre

The Glove's 518 Concert Series proudly presents Skeeter Creek.

Skeeter Creek was nominated for 4 awards at the 2005 Northeast Country Music Association awards: Bluegrass band of the Year, Vocal group of the Year, Instrumental band of the Year, and the Sunrise award. They were the winners of the 2004 Colgate Country Showdown in the Albany, New York region, winners of the 2005 and 2006 Froggy 100.7 Country Shootout, and named at the top of the 2006, 2007, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, and 2015 Metroland Magazine Readers Poll for Country Band of the Year, and 2013, 2014,2015 Cover Band of the Year (all genres). They have also won the North Country Music Awards in 2014-2015 for Entertainers of the Year, Band of the Year, Male Vocalist (Dave Ahl), Female Vocalist (Renee Lussier-Ahl), and Musician of the Year (Dominic Paratore). Skeeter Creek has won the Times Union Reader’s Poll in 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020, and 2021 and the Daily Gazette’s Best Local Band for 2018, 2019 and 2020.

What started in 2002 as a 4 piece Acoustic/Bluegrass Band is now a 7 piece band with full time Sound Engineer. They switched to full time Country in 2006 - Winners of Froggy Country Shootout 2007-2008, 2nd place in 2006 - Metroland Magazine Country Band of the year 2010-2016 - Times Union Reader's Poll Band of the Year, 2010, 2013-2019 - Guitarist of the Year (Joe Kulewicz) 2017 - Daily Gazette Best Local Band 2017-2019 - Runner Up Colgate Country Shootout 2008 - Post Star Country Band of the Year 2014,2015,2016,2017 - Northeast Country Music Association 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2019 (No awards show in 2018) -Entertainers of the year, Male vocalist of the year (David Ahl), -Female Vocalist of the Year (Renee Lussier) - Band of the Year - Musician of the Year Dominic Paratore 2016, Renee Lussier 2019 - Lifetime Achievement Award Joe Kulewicz 2019 - Opening act for numerous National Touring acts. -Performed at Glens Falls Civic Center (2010, George Jones) -Performed at the Times Union Center (2014, Charlie Daniels, Marshall Tucker) - Largest drawing Regional act. Over 120 shows per year.
