I Dig the Mohawk Valley Presentation at Johnson Hall

On Saturday, September 5th, join Loretta Tucker from Schoharie Crossing State Historic Site here at Johnson Hall and explore the importance of archaeology in helping us understand the history of the Mohawk Valley.
In this hands-on activity, participants will learn what it’s like to plan and carry out an archaeological dig. We’ll talk about what archaeologists do, the types of tools they use, and the questions they seek to answer, including examples of excavations that have happened right here in the Mohawk Valley.
"I Dig the Mohawk Valley" is free for all visitors and will run from 10am until 3pm on Saturday 9/05.
Swing on by and you may even get a chance to see some fascinating pieces from the Johnson Hall archaeological collection for the first time in person!
Questions? Feel free to give us a call at 518-762-8712.
