250th Anniversary of Last Council with Haudenosaunee at Johnson Hall State Historic Site
Historic Site Manager Wade Wells will deliver a presentation focusing on changing borders, trade, military and political circumstances throughout the 1760’s and early 1770’s which led to violent unrest on the western frontier. His discussion will also focus on the death of Sir William during this council and the immediate effect on local politics and the management of the British Northern Department of Indian Affairs.
