Job description

F&F Transport is actively hiring Class A CDL Company Truck Drivers! The work schedule is Monday through Friday.

Applicants with a minimum of 2 years of flatbed or van driving experience with a clean record are encouraged to apply.

Projected annual compensation is $90,000 – $100,000 which is based on mileage, per-diem meals, layover pay, stops, and destinations. The total breakdown is provided below.

Job Summary:

  • Your primary responsibility in this role is to safely transport goods and materials from one location to another, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to all traffic laws and regulations. The ideal candidate will have:
  • Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL A) with minimum 2 years driving history
  • Clean driving record
  • Solid commitment to safety
  • Willingness to undergo background checks and drug screenings as part of the hiring process.

General Scope of Responsibilities:

  • Operate company-owned trucks to transport goods and materials to designated locations.
  • Safely load and unload cargo, ensuring proper handling and securement. With the ability to lift and move heavy objects as needed.
  • Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure roadworthiness.
  • Adhere to all applicable traffic laws, regulations, and company policies while operating vehicles.
  • Ability to operate and maneuver large vehicles safely in various weather and road conditions.
  • Maintain accurate records of mileage, fuel consumption, and deliveries made.
  • Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and team members to coordinate delivery schedules and address any issues or concerns.
  • Report any mechanical issues or maintenance needs to the appropriate personnel for prompt repair.
  • Follow safety protocols and procedures to minimize risks and prevent accidents or injuries.
  • Maintain a clean and organized truck, both inside and out.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, representing the company professionally and courteously at all times.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with electronic logging devices (ELDs) and other trucking technology.
  • Familiarity with routes and geographical areas within the assigned region.

Physical Demands:

  • Must be able to sit for extended periods and operate a vehicle for long distances.
  •  May be required to lift, carry, push, or pull heavy objects weighing up to 50 – 80 pounds.
  • Must have good vision and hearing to ensure safe operation of the vehicle and awareness of surroundings.
  • Must be able to pass the DOT Physical.

 

Compensation:

  • Average 0.75¢ – 0.85¢ per mile
  • Meals – $50.00 per day
  • Layover – $75.00

Compensation Breakdown:

  • Hub Mileage pay – 0.45¢
  • Stop pay – $15.00 – $25.00
  • NYC Pay – $150.00
