CNC Lathe Operator
JOB SUMMARY:
As a CNC lathe operator, you will be responsible for operating CNC lathe machines to support the production and fabrication of metal products. This includes loading raw materials into the machines, basic machine setup, adjusting tooling and machine parameters, interpreting work instructions and shop drawings, and maintaining high productivity. Operators are expected to work safely while contributing to departmental goals through quality work and open communication.
Job Type: Full-time, 1st shift, no weekends
Pay: $22.50 – $26.00 per hour, DOE.
Pay Date: Thursdays, weekly
Benefits: Begin on the 1st of the month following the date of hire
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Operate and monitor CNC Lathe production machines with precision and care
- Perform quality checks to ensure the output of high-quality parts
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area
- Work independently and within a team environment to meet and exceed production goals
- Collaborate with department leads, supervisors, and/or management to troubleshoot and report equipment issues promptly.
- Perform other duties, as assigned.

Preferred
- Previous machine operation or manufacturing experience (preferred but not required – we will train the right people!)
- Previous experience in the metal fabrication industry

WORKING CONDITIONS:
Work is generally performed in a machine shop or manufacturing environment, with frequent interruptions and irregular work schedules. No special coordination beyond that required for normal mobility, handling everyday objects and materials, and using office equipment is necessary to perform the job satisfactorily.

The physical demands described here represent those that a team member must meet to perform the essential functions of this job successfully. Reasonable accommodation may be provided to enable team members with disabilities to perform the following essential functions:
- Must be able to remain stationary 80% of the time.
- Must be able to occasionally move about inside a warehouse, around warehouse machinery, etc.
- Must be able to communicate and exchange accurate information.
- Must be able to operate manufacturing and engineering machinery such as lapping, CNC lathe, and milling machines
- Occasionally positions self to maintain manufacturing and engineering machinery, including under workstations.
- Frequently move raw and treated materials weighing up to 50 pounds across the warehouse for various purposes, as needed.
