Summary: Supervises the logistics of a designated truck fleets daily deliveries, takes order, fills orders,
communicates with customers, orders materials, schedules delivery times, communicates with clients, coworkers,
outside contractors, etc. This individual is a great communicator and is able to work in a fast paced environment
handling phone calls, computer programs and critical thinking.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities: Other duties may be assigned.
Responsible for answering phones, communicating prices with customers, interacting with coworkers,
creating daily transaction worksheets to be reviewed by corporate officers.
Facilitate daily truck scheduling through software program; Alkon. Communicate with plant personnel
regarding scheduled orders and coordinate delivery times and material usage.
Cost effectively arranges employee start times and delivery schedules.
Orders cement, fly ash, and or other materials for delivery at manufacturing facility.
Track the progress of deliveries through GPS.
Organizes credit card information and communicates information to receivables department.

Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty

Education and Experience: Undergraduate degree preferred but not required. A broad background of
concrete, aggregate and or construction industry is preferred.
Excellent communication skills and ability to multi-task effectively.
Computer Skills – Able to work with email, share files, Microsoft Word and Excel.
Customer Service, Meeting Goals, Closing Skills, Territory Management, Prospecting Skills, Negotiation,
Self-Confidence, Product Knowledge, Presentation Skills, Client Relationships, Motivation for Sales,
compose misc. reports and or projects requested from management.
Relationships within trucking, cement, concrete, aggregate industry and/or other logistics firms will be
valued.
Language Skills:
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure
manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers
or employees of organization.
Mathematical Skills:
Ability to apply concepts of algebra and geometry. Able to calculate interest, proportions and percentages.
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Able to
deal with problems involving a few variables in standardized situations.

supply boxes, storage boxes, reams of paper etc.
