SUPERINTENDENT OF HIGHWAYS AND FACILITIES


The department head position has responsibility of planning, organizing, directing and managing the operation of the Fulton County Department of Highways and Facilities. The Superintendent is a highly technical administrative and engineering position involving planning and carrying out the County’s highway construction and repair program, maintenance and repair of all County- owned buildings and property. Candidates must have a thorough knowledge of the principles and methods of planning and carrying out highway engineering programs, knowledge of business administration practices and the ability to review complex engineering plans and specifications for equipment, materials and large-scale building systems.


Minimum Qualifications Include:
Graduation from a four-year accredited college or university with a degree in civil engineering and two (2) years of experience in the field of civil engineering preferred; or graduation from a two- year accredited college or university with an Associates Degree in civil engineering and four (4) years of experience in the field of civil engineering; or graduation from a high school and six (6) years of experience in the field of civil engineering.


Fulton County residency is required. Salary range is $100,000.00 to $114,000.00 per year, depending upon qualifications and experience.
