Disability Resource Coordinators (DRCs) are professional, experienced, specialized staff that work to change local workforce systems to better serve individuals with disabilities.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree and two (2) years of full-time paid experience in partnership development and outreach; or
  • Associate’s degree and four (4) years of full-time paid experience in partnership development and outreach.
  • 3 years of experience in programs delivering direct services to individuals with disabilities.
  • Knowledge of local disability resources.
  • Proven ability to communicate with and train job seekers, business leaders, and front-line staff.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • A self-starter comfortable meeting new people and building strong relationships.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Knowledge of federal, state, and local laws, policies, and procedures relating to equal opportunity and non-discrimination.
  • Strong knowledge of career exploration and job search processes.
  • Willingness to obtain/maintain a credential to provide benefits advisement and work incentive counseling to job seekers in receipt of Social Security Administration benefits
The Fulton, Montgomery, and Schoharie Counties Workforce Development Board (WDB) is seeking a full-time Disability Resource Coordinator (DRC) to provide expertise and to serve as a resource to the Workforce Solutions Career Centers and System in the development, delivery, and coordination of workforce services for individuals with disabilities.
Job Details:
This is a full-time position with the FMS Workforce Development Board, Inc., a 501 (c) 3 not-for-profit, as a part of the NY SCION project (New York System Change and Inclusive Opportunities Network).
Salary range: $60,000+/year; commensurate with education and experience.

The DRC will primarily work out of the Amsterdam Workforce Solutions Center but will spend time in Fulton and Schoharie Counties as well.
