Psychology/Sociology Instructor

SUNY FMCC is seeking applicants for a full-time tenure-track position in its Social Science Division beginning September 2026. Candidates should be prepared to teach a variety of psychology and/or sociology courses. Candidates must be committed to the mission of community colleges and teaching students who have a wide range of academic abilities. Additional responsibilities include, but are not limited to, assessment, planning, and implementation and evaluation of curriculum.

Qualifications:
• A Bachelor’s degree in Psychology or Sociology.
• A Master’s degree in a related field. Preferences:
• A Master’s degree in Psychology or Sociology.
• Teaching experience, ideally in the community college setting.
• Experience with assessment of student learning.

Salary and Benefits:
• The annual Instructor base salary is $64,259.
