Senior Accountant

Our firm is currently seeking a senior accountant who will work closely with other team members in a relaxed environment. Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for organizing and managing client assignments and projects, as well as coaching, advising, and directing team members in meeting client and firm expectations.
Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Ensure business transactions are reported in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles
- Work closely with team members to assist with year-end planning and reconciliations
- Prepare corporate, partnership, trust/estate and individual tax returns
- Assist with the annual audit process including the draft of the financial statements and related footnotes related notes
- Research accounting and tax issues
- Potential to join our quality control management team.

Requirements
- Applicants should have 3+ years of experience in public accounting in a similar role
- A bachelor’s degree in accounting
- Must be able to lead all aspects of engagements from planning to completion.
- Effective and professional oral and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team with professionals at all levels
- A high degree of professionalism, including the ability to maintain the highest level of confidentiality
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
