A Night with the Beatles – 9th Annual Gala with Caroga Arts Collective
Our 2026 Caroga Arts Gala, celebrates the iconic music and culture of the 60?s. Join us for an unforgettable evening of Beatles hits, flower power, and the community support that keeps our music alive. After all, all we need is love! The Caroga Arts Collective Gala is one of our largest fundraising events of the year. The proceeds provide critical support for our daily operations, helping to fund programs, events, and outreach initiatives throughout the year. Your participation makes a significant impact, ensuring that Caroga Arts continues to bring exceptional arts programming to the Adirondacks and beyond. We?re looking for volunteers to help make this year?s Gala a success. If you?re interested in contributing your time and talents, we would love to have you on board! An original theater and music production curated by director Kyle Price based around the iconic music of American composer legend, Leroy Anderson, featuring Alex Moffat, Caroline Rau, Brian Shank along with the Caroga Arts Ensemble and members from Utica Dance.
America At 250 with Johnstown Historical Society
The Johnstown Historical Society in collaboration with the Johnstown Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution, St Patrick's Masonic Lodge, the Fulton County Historian, Fulton County Tourism (and more) is pleased to announce a 3 day event to commemorate the anniversay of the 250th year of America. This event will provide programming, education, entertainment, and an eye opening look at the deep history Johnstown, NY and the surrounding areas has connecting it and intertwining with the events leading up to, during, and after the America Revolution as well as other unfinished revolutions that Johnstown is connected with. Activities & Events will include a reading of the Declaration of Independence followed by a reading of the Declaration of Sentiments, music, presentations on a number of topics through the lens of not only the patriots but also loyalists, women in the revolution, and the Haudenosaunee people of this area. We also have story teller David Neilson performing stories about John Andre. Many historic buildings connected to the American Revolution will be open for tours. And so much more. We will make many announcements and launch an online itinerary with more information in the coming months. Please watch the space linked!

American Mosaic with Caroga Arts Collective
A Celebration of America?s 250th with David Alan Miller, conductor, Kevin Cole, piano, Sylvia McNair, voice, and Caroga Arts Ensemble. American Mosaic weaves together a vibrant portrait of the nation?s musical identity, from the patriotic ode towards great anthems and medleys to the wide-open energy of Rodeo to the fresh voice of Viet Cuong. Soprano Sylvia McNair and pianist Kevin Cole bring timeless songs by George Gershwin to life, culminating in the iconic Rhapsody in Blue. Under the baton of David Alan Miller with the Caroga Arts Ensemble, this program celebrates the rich diversity and spirit of American music.
American Red Cross Lifeguard Certification Course with Fulton YMCA - Day 1 of 2
Become a certified American Red Cross Lifeguard and gain the skills needed to prevent, recognize, and respond to aquatic emergencies. This nationally recognized certification prepares participants for lifeguard employment and leadership in an aquatic environment. To participate, students must meet the following prerequisites: - Be 15 years old by the last day of the course - Complete a 300-yard continuous swim (freestyle and/or breaststroke, no stopping) - Tread water for 2 minutes using legs only - Successfully complete the brick test by retrieving a 10-lb object from 7?10 feet of water and returning it within 1 minute and 40 seconds Why Become a Certified Lifeguard? - Earn a nationally recognized lifeguard certification - Develop leadership, communication, and teamwork skills - Learn lifesaving techniques including water rescue, CPR, AED use, and first aid - Work in a supportive, mission-driven organization - Gain experience in a mission-driven, supportive organization - Explore flexible scheduling opportunities, especially ideal for students For questions, please contact: Zara Kluska, Aquatics Coordinator 📧 jkluska@fultoncountyymca.org 📞 (518) 725-0627 ext. 0627
