Fit Kids - Spring at Fulton County YMCA
Is geared towards helping kids get active, burn calories and gain confidence through games that promote physical activity. Ages 6-9. Fit kids will be held in the Group Exercise room.
Free FMCC Survey of Hydroponics Course
Curious about horticulture and general growing techniques? Hydroponics allows for sustainable, year-round, soil-free food production that uses up to 10 times less water than traditional farming by recycling nutrient-rich water directly to plant roots. Ideal for small spaces, this method enables faster growth of vegetables and herbs, such as lettuce, tomatoes, and herbs, indoors or outdoors, reducing the need for pesticides. Topics Include: Plant life cycle, planting medium, planting from seed, propagation, hydroponic growing systems and techniques, environmental requirements for proper growth, pest pressure and management, and harvest techniques. 4-Week Course! Jump in and get moving! This Homeschool PE program helps kids build fundamental movement skills, stay active, and gain confidence through fun games and activities. We focus on teamwork, coordination, and discovering new ways to move ? all while keeping things positive and engaging.
Intercut Realities: Exhibition Program Community Collage Night with Saratoga Arts
Free and open to the public! Join the four exhibiting artists, Benj Gleeksman, Alison Bachorik, Avery Hartranft, and Emily Tironi, from Intercut Realities for a collage night. We will have paper, glue, collage materials, and some basic drawing materials for you to work with to create your own collages. Feel free to bring your own collage and drawing materials too! Meet and work along side the exhibiting artists and other participants in this fun, informal activity. This is a great activity to experiment and play with material in a non-outcome driven way to make new discoveries for your own creative practice or begin exploring your making at your own pace. The community collage night will take place in the Main Gallery.
Release Your Fear of the Water
Release Your Fear of the Water is a supportive, small-group swim experience designed for adults who feel nervous, anxious, or uncomfortable in the water. Through gentle, step-by-step guidance, participants begin with the foundations of water acclimation?learning to breathe, float, and move with greater ease and confidence. This program focuses on building trust in your body, understanding buoyancy, and developing essential water safety skills in a calm, judgment-free environment. Whether you?re brand new or returning after years away, this is a space to move at your own pace and begin feeling safe in the water.
Senior Strength Spring at Fulton County YMCA
Senior only weight training program. Geared to help seniors gain confidence and knowledge of weightlifting. They will complete an 8-week weightlifting program led by our Certified Senior Fitness Specialist Isaiah.
Simply Yoga By Colleen at Purple Glass Healing Arts
These classes are wellness-based, staying true to the tradition of Viniyoga. Class instruction is focused on using movement and breath to reduce muscle tension and stress, while strengthening weaknesses, bringing both balance and self-awareness to the participant. Individual modifications will be made as needed for participants in each class.
