A pysanka is an Ukrainian Easter egg decorated with traditional Ukrainian folk designs using a wax-resist (batik) method. Join Olya Szjka as she shows you how to use beeswax to transform a regular egg into a sensational masterpiece. You will create a beautiful piece of art to be treasured for years to come. Transitions Open House & Sensory Friendly Easter Bunny at Paul Nigra Center for Creative Arts
Transitions is hosting an Open House & Sensory Friendly Easter Bunny event on March 19 from 3:00-6:00 PM at the Transitions Mayfield Campus and the Nigra Arts Center located at 2736 State Highway 30, Gloversville, NY 12078. This Sensory Friendly Easter Bunny in subdued environment will allow the children to meet the Easter Bunny, have a photo, decorate cookies and more. Steps will be taken to reduce sensory triggers and create a more comfortable environment for your child?s cherished visit with the Sensory Easter Bunny. Take a tour of the Transitions program, a post secondary higher education program. Transitions focuses on building academic skills, life skills and general independence for high school graduates and young adults with autism and learning differences. Its specialty isn?t just in teaching students how to study or learn a trade ? it?s in showing its students that they can live a life that even they never dreamed of.
