The show is geared towards the tastes of Hunters, Fishermen and Outdoors Enthusiasts, with exhibits containing items for sale pertaining to: hunting & fishing gear/supplies, guns, archery, trapping, camping, hiking, snow shoeing, guides & charter services, taxidermy, custom ADK clothing designs and antique hunting & fishing gear. ?Featured Guests? will include book authors Peter and Kate Fidducia, and long-bow archery restorer & historian Stuart Johnstone. Peter Fiduccia, also known as ?The Deer Doctor? is one of North America?s top whitetail deer hunting authorities. He is the author of more than 16 books on deer hunting tactics, including the widely popular Whitetail Strategies series. He is also the longtime host of the acclaimed Woods N? Water TV Series, and has contributed countless articles to leading publications such as Field & Stream, Outdoor Life, Sports Afield, Peterson?s Hunting and Bowhunter. Amsterdam's Soupfest
Join us for the City of Amsterdam's SOUPFEST This event will take place at various bars and restaurants throughout the entire city! We encourage all city restaurants to participate by preparing a soup to taste and also providing entertainment or other specials to entice patrons to come to your establishment! PARTICIPANTS: Pay $1 for 3oz soup samples at each location and vote at the end for your favorite soup. The winner will receive a TROPHY for the MOST UNIQUE and BEST SOUP IN THE CITY! Black Colonial History in the Mohawk Valley Presentation at Johnson Hall State Historic Site
Soldiers, Servants, and Self-Manumitters: Black Colonial History in the Mohawk Valley Join us Saturday, February 22nd for an afternoon of presentations as we explore histories of both free and enslaved Black colonial residents of the Mohawk valley, from Albany to Fort Stanwix. After the presentations, visitors are invited to view some of the spaces most associated with the people of African ancestry enslaved at Johnson Hall between 1763 and 1774. This is a FREE event, however pre-reservation is required as space is limited. Please call the site at 518-762-8712 to secure your seat.
