Ice Cream Social & History Fair with Fulton County Historical Society
Last year, we combined two of our popular annual events - the Ice Cream Social and the History Fair - into one celebration to kick off the summer season at the museum. We loved it so much, we?re doing it again this year! Join us at the museum on Friday, May 15th from 6-8pm for an evening of history and frozen treats. Tickets are $5 each or five for $20. Pre-sale tickets available! The History Fair is a chance for local museums, historians, re-enactors, authors, and community organizations to share all the great work they?ve been doing. The Ice Cream Social and History Fair isn?t only the kick-off to our summer tour season, but it?s one of the FCHS? biggest fundraisers. In addition to helping support general operating costs that keep the doors open, the money raised during this event also assists with the upkeep of our historic 1900 school that houses the museum and educational and public programming. This includes presentations, exhibits, concerts, the Hands On History Series, in-classroom and distance learning, and more. Your support helps to make all this ? and more ? possible! If you cannot attend this year?s Ice Cream Social, but would still like to support the FCHS and its work, please consider making a donation online at fultoncountyhistoricalsociety.org or by mailing a check to 237 Kingsboro Ave. Gloversville, NY 12078. We hope to see you at the museum on May 15th!
The Bell Bottom Blues: The Live Eric Clapton Experience Show
The Glove Theatre is proud to welcome The Bell Bottom Blues -- The Live Eric Clapton Experience Show! The Bell Bottom Blues (BBB) was formed in 2007 with the vision of providing an audience with a true Eric Clapton Experience. Through its evolution, the band has been carefully constructed to create the essence of the Clapton sound, from his guitar arrangements to his distinctive vocal sound. This is what separates The Bell Bottom Blues from all others and makes us unique in the market. Audiences and fans say that ?they close their eyes during a show and swear that are at a Clapton concert?. That's what the band sets out to achieve. Through each band member?s dedication, professionalism, and hard work, they've captured the sound and essence of the master himself through his various stages, from Cream, the Dominoes, and through his entire solo career. Our ''Eric Claption'' captures his guitar styling AND his vocal sound, which allows BBB to truly pay tribute to this rock and blues icon. BBB's goal is to allow audiences to really feel like they are participating in an actual EC live event. They've played at many notable venues including Iridium NYC, BB Kings NYC, City Winery, Havana?s PA, New Hope Winery PA, Mcloone?s Supper Club NJ, The Stone Pony, Daryl?s House, Infinity Theater Ct, Courthouse Center for Arts Ri, Count Basie Theater NJ, Tally Ho Theater VA, Downtown Cabaret Ct, Lamp Theater PA, Paramount Theater NY, Dean Center PA, The Amp Theater DC, Dean Center MA, Tin Pan VA, Grand Casino, Harrah's Casino, Empire City Casino, Resorts Casino, Foxwoods Casino, Hard Rock Casino, and Outdoor Summer Concert Series along the east. BBB was recently endorsed by Bobby Whitlock, Co-founder of Derek & The Dominos and co-writer with Clapton on the Layla Album. ?The best Dominos band I ever heard? ~Bobby Whitlock. We can't wait to have BBB play on The Glove's stage! All ages welcome! 21+ to drink/purchase adult beverages.
