Morning Yoga with Mary Ann Zicarelli, Instructor at Paul Nigra Center
This class is designed to welcome all levels to the mat. The pace is mindful, which gives students the opportunity to connect their breath to each pose. Holding poses for several breaths allows students to find that deeper connection of the mind, body and breath. Frequent alignment cues are given, which help newcomers feel comfortable and supported on their mat. The cues also help the most seasoned student with refined alignment, which ultimately brings more space, strength and peace into their practice. This class begins with embodiment movements that help warm up the joints, muscles and connective tissue, which prepares the body to gain more flexibility, mobility and strength. Classes are prepared with a theme or peak so that students can feel connected to the process and purpose of each experience on the mat. *Members receive a 20% discount. Cardinal Amidst Pine Boughs Watercolor Thursday, February 27 6:00-8:30 p.m. Close the month of February with a bright red bird in a gray-green pine grotto by painting this 5?x7? watercolor! Participants will create a washy background of muted grays and greens after masking off the warmer colored branches and bird with frisket. The cardinal and pine needles are surprisingly easy to paint with a little guidance, and instructor Cheryl Bielli will demonstrate and advise throughout the layering process. *Members receive a 20% discount.
