Kids' Gratitude Yoga with Courtney Wood at Paul Nigra Center
Join Courtney Wood to celebrate Thanksgiving with a kid yoga class! This session will consist of: -Gratitude-themed yoga practice -A mindfulness story -A self-growth and/or coloring activity (age appropriate choices will be given) -A take home snack This class is open to children 3 and up. -Back to school-themed yoga practice -A mindfulness story -A self-growth and/or coloring activity (age appropriate choices will be given) -A take home snack This class is open to children 3 and up.
The Three Sisters Presented by Lori Mead Fort Plain Museum Member and Volunteer
The Three Sisters a talk by Lori Mead, Fort Plain Museum Member and Volunteer - Saturday, November 23rd at 1 PM - The Perfect talk for Thanksgiving. A discussion of the traditional Iroquoian planting of the 3 sisters; beans, corn, and squash. Bringing into focus resources from our own early American library at the Fort as well as the important influences on early organic farming practices and techniques. All of which have a part in the modern movement of farm to table agriculture. Links and information will be shared on how you too can apply these valuable techniques in your own gardens, small, large, container or raised beds.
