Join Courtney Wood for a Mom & Me Mother's Day yoga class! This session will consist of: -Mom & Me themed yoga practice -A mindfulness story -A self growth and/or coloring activity (age appropriate choices will be given) -A take home snack This class is open to children 3 and up and their mothers.
Sacandaga Protection Committee Raffle at Wemple & Edick's Craft Fair
he Sacandaga Protection Committee will be at the Wemple & Edicks Spring Fair to sell raffle tickets for our Bet on the Lake raffle. We will also be there to sign anyone up who would like to come to the Golf Outing Cocktail Hour and Silent Auction on June 1st at Hales Mills Country Club. You don't have to golf to come. It's $20 to just come to the Cocktail Hour and Auction. We will have works by local artists, gift certificates to local restaurants, a sunset cruise, a fishing trip, glamping and a large assortment of other items. We encourage you to join us!
Outdoor Yoga-Know & Nuture An Adventure in Self Exploration at Landis Aboretum
The Know & Nurture program is a series of 5 yoga workshops. Held once a month over the length of the growing season each is designed to create a framework through which you can experience who you are. Register for each class individually; attend any or all. Classes are on the second Saturday of the month (May 11, June 8, July 13, August 10, and September 14), with rain dates on the fourth Saturday of the month. A Picture of David- A New Musical by Alyssa Rizzo at The Glove Theatre
The Glove Theatre and Alyssa Rizzo in conjunction with Trust Your Gut Productions present a developmental workshop production of Picture of David, a new musical based on the Oscar Wilde novel, The Picture of Dorian Gray. Picture of David is a modern-day adaptation of Oscar Wilde?s The Picture of Dorian Gray, and tells the story of David, a country boy with a Christian background, who comes to study at the University of London. He is innocent, naïve, enthusiastic, and musical. Pride and vanity get the best of him and he wishes to remain young and handsome forever. His wish is granted when he trades places with the man in his picture. David remains the same, while his picture becomes more corrupted over time. Eventually, he is forced to face the truth about himself to redeem his soul. But can he? Picture of David features a pastiche score by composer, Alyssa Rizzo, ranging from pop/rock to light classical.
