About Us

The Amsterdam Housing Authority (AHA) was founded to provide safe, affordable housing. AHA manages public housing units, Housing Choice (Section 8) Vouchers, and project-based subsidies for families. AHA oversees the New Amsterdam & Stratton Apartments for senior citizens, as well as Garden and Wall Street Apts for families. AHA administers the Housing Choice Voucher program, allowing eligible families to rent privately-owned housing in the community. To apply visit the AHA website.
