250th Anniversary of Sir William Johnson's Funeral at Johnson Hall State Historic Site
Join living history interpreters at Johnson Hall State Historic Site for this unique commemoration of the 250th anniversary of the wake and funeral of Sir William Johnson. The program will begin at 10:00 am with a wreath laying at the grave of Sir William in Sir William Johnson Park on Main Street in Johnstown. Returning to Johnson Hall State Historic Site at 11:00 am., visitors may interact with interpreters and see Johnson Hall in state of mourning typical for the time period. Wade Wells will deliver a short presentation of the events that took place during Sir Williams funeral, and Father Thomas Pettigrew will deliver a short sermon at noon as was done on July 13, 1774. Veteran's Time to Thrive 3rd Annual Car Show
3rd annual car show in support of building a ''Veterans only apartment complex'' in Amsterdam, NY. $10 minimum donation for car entries with 100% of the proceeds going to VT3. Outdoor Yoga-Know & Nuture An Adventure in Self Exploration at Landis Aboretum
The Know & Nurture program is a series of 5 yoga workshops. Held once a month over the length of the growing season each is designed to create a framework through which you can experience who you are. Register for each class individually; attend any or all. Classes are on the second Saturday of the month (May 11, June 8, July 13, August 10, and September 14), with rain dates on the fourth Saturday of the month.
