Main St\, near the Glove Theater.\n\nThe organization hosted its first open house Sept. 19 with a free lesson in drawing an apple in chalk pastel.\n\nThe Oct. 17 "Spooky Art Open House" will feature two main activities: a free lesson in drawing and shading an iconic image of Frankenstein and a craft where children 3 and up can build and decorate a paper haunted house. Children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult.\n\nThe Frankenstein drawing lesson will be offered to adults and children 9 and up at 4:15\, 4:45 and 5:15 p.m. It will be based on the face of the monster portrayed by Boris Karloff in the 1931 film\, Frankenstein. Participants can choose to follow the guided lesson from scratch or with a half-face template to assist them.\n\nLight refreshments will be available at the open house\, as well as Halloween treats while supplies last.\n\nReservations for the lesson are appreciated to ensure adequate supplies.
