DESCRIPTION:Pick a scene from Charles Dickens' famous A Christmas Carol and learn some pen and ink techniques to make a 19th century-style illustration you can duplicate for homemade holiday cards or gift prints! Scenes should be kept simpler than the illustration pictured to fit the time frame. Suggestions include Scrooge and one of the ghosts\, Scrooge and Jacob Marley\, Tiny Tim and Bob Cratchett\, etc. After drawing the characters in pencil with instructor coaching\, students will add ink linework and finish with a few loose watercolor washes to add limited touches of color and create a vignette background.\n\n*Members receive a 20% discount.
